Your yard and garden décor are as much a part of your home as your interior décor. And choosing the right garden fountain for your yard décor will create tranquility in your garden.
If you are having trouble with ideas on how to do your garden, there are plenty of excellent resources online, and of course, there are some very good magazines on the market. How you lay out your gardens will depend on big the space is. Smaller gardens are quaint and inviting. Small is also much easier to dress up and more affordable.
If you have a very large garden are you should consider breaking it into sections. This will make it much more friendly and inviting and you can feature each area differently.
Whether your garden area is large or small, every garden needs a fountain. The sound of the water creates instant tranquility and is a welcome sound after a hard days work. There are all kinds of fountains, big and small so once you decide what you are doing with your space you can choose the right fountain.
Are lives are so hectic that we need to be able to come home and take five to unwind. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a place where you could relax in minutes? What better way to accomplish this than sitting in front of your very own fountain.
Place a bench near the fountain. If you like being in contact with the earth place some paving stones around the fountain so you can get close. There’s nothing that can take the edge of your day like the sound of running water. You’ll be relaxed in minutes.
Combine your fountain with the right plants in your garden. Create sections if your garden is large. The right green space is a powerful tool, and you should have something always blooming in your garden.
Think about the last time you entered the forest - suddenly you feel alive, revived and the world is lifted from your shoulders. Your garden can have exactly the same effect just by choosing the right plants.
Your plant choices should include shrubs, ferns, and tropical style plants. And don’t forget the grass! Adding a concrete pad around the fountain so that you can sit and meditate is certainly worth considering, but it should be a small area because concrete is cold.
What type of garden fountain do you want for your space? Garden fountains can be as little as twelve inches or as large as six feet. You need to choose a size that compliments your space so that you keep the space ratio. You do not want your fountain overwhelming your space.
A fountain with a three to four foot footprint is generally large enough to be effective but not too large so that it is overpowering. When it comes to style there are large basin fountains depicting a cherub, a fishing boy, or a host of other figures. There are tiered fountains with a terrific Feng Shui affect - the sound of trickling water so calming, and there are Japanese style fountains. That’s just a few so take your time and find the one that’s right for your garden to set the mood for relaxation.
